We went to the Autumn Open Day on Saturday 6th September. What a lovely day out it was. Great place if you have kids & love animals. There's geese, goats, cows, sheep, lots of piggies, pot bellied piggies, hens, turkeys, rabbits. It's closer to Cleobury Mortimer or Ludlow than it is to Kidderminster & you turn off onto a single track road to get to the site, but it is a farm so no surprise really. Would really recommend this place for a day out with or without kids ❤️❤️❤️

A beautiful sanctuary run by friendly and caring individuals. The animals are amazing and we loved seeing the cows we adopted! They’re really cared for by the amazing team and I love the updates I get via email about all the good work they’re doing. The world needs more places like this for animals to be safe and happy. Thank you xx

If you have pre-booked, there’s no need to print your tickets. When you arrive, just give the full name used for your online booking, and we’ll find your reservation.

Before the event, please ensure you’ve received a confirmation email. If it’s not in your inbox, don’t forget to check your Junk or Spam folder, as our emails can occasionally end up there.

Most phones and sat navs will bring you directly to Goodheart Farm Animal Sanctuary using the postcode DY14 0BE. However, we recommend planning your route in advance and visiting our web page here for detailed directions. Please note that we won’t be able to offer directions over the phone on the day.

On arrival, you will be shown where to park by one of our stewards. If you are a blue badge holder, our stewards will direct you to the parking area closer to our main yard.

Please note that parking is in a grassy field, which may have long grass and uneven ground. Take care when driving and walking in this area.

Yard
Our yard is wheelchair accessible and will be a hub of activity, with food and drink vendors, market stalls, and a variety of animals including sheep, cows, and goats. This is also where our talks will take place throughout the day.

Outdoor Education Area
The paths in our Outdoor Education Area are wide enough for wheelchairs and are made of compacted stone, (similar to forestry commission pathways). However, we leave it to individual wheelchair users to decide whether the paths are suitable for them.

Toilets
An accessible toilet is available beside our Outdoor Education Area.

On arrival
If you are a Blue Badge holder, you’re welcome to drive straight up into the yard and park beneath the trees on the right-hand side. From there, head over to the Goodheart merchandise table in the main barn to pay for your entry (if not already pre-booked) and collect your map and programme for the day.

  • Please stay on the main pathways when walking around the site and do not enter any fenced enclosures containing animals.
  • There is a seating area in the barn, as well as benches in the Outdoor Education Area for you to rest and enjoy the surroundings.
  • In the event of a fire, please follow the instructions of our stewards and make your way to the assembly point in front of the gates in the main yard.
  • We kindly ask that you remain calm and respectful around our animals, and follow any guidance displayed near their areas. While many of our animals enjoy attention from visitors, some must not be touched. These enclosures will be clearly marked, and we appreciate your understanding.
  • Please remember to wash or sanitise your hands before and after touching any animals. We advise against touching animals if you are pregnant.
  • Only feed the animals with the feed bags we provide. Giving them any other food can be harmful to their health.

Card machines will be on hand over the weekend, however, due to our remote location, signal can drop out at times, so please bring cash with you if possible. Please note we do not have a cash machine/ATM on site.
