Feel good about your visit

Visiting Goodheart Farm Animal Sanctuary is an experience you can feel good about for lots of reasons. Unlike a farm park or petting zoo, our sanctuary prioritises the wellbeing of our animals, offering a peaceful environment where they can thrive – not perform. We never breed from our animals, and each one is guaranteed a safe, loving home with us for life. We believe animals are just as deserving of love and care as adults as they are when they’re young!

PLUS, 100% of profits go to our charity and the care of our animals, so you’re not only enjoying a memorable day out but also helping to give these incredible animals the happy lives they deserve.

Recent reviews from our visitors...

“Wonderful to see how happy and well cared for these animals are – it shone through their interactions with us, and with staff. Hearing their back stories. Meeting my sponsored pig in person.”

“The sanctuary itself is incredible and it’s beautiful to see these animals being looked after so well. I can’t recommend you guys enough, and meeting Bob was amazing! I also think it’s so important that the backstories of the animals were told as it raises awareness as to how things can go wrong with a lack of education around certain animals. “

“Brilliant visit, absolutely loved the tour, very insightful and a beautiful day to come and visit. So kind and welcoming, will definitely be back :)”

Important info/FAQs

What should I wear?

As we know, British weather can be very unpredictable so please be prepared by bringing a waterproof coat and wearing wellies or walking boots. No open-toed sandals, flip-flops, or sliders.

Do I need to pre-book?

Yes, all visits must be pre-booked. Only the number of people listed on your tickets are allowed to attend. If you bring additional guests who have not been pre-booked, they will be turned away.

What facilities do you have?

  • Free Parking
  • Disabled-access toilets + baby-changing facility
  • Mini gift shop
  • Outdoor seating area

Can you accommodate large groups?

We believe that experiences with smaller groups work better for a variety of reasons. Not only do you get more one-on-one time with the animals but also the chance to ask questions and learn about their stories. Some animals can become scared or stressed if too many people are in with them, which is why we keep our group numbers small.

Can I bring my dog?

As our pig experiences involve going into animal areas, dogs are not permitted. We do not allow visitors to leave their dogs unattended in their cars while visiting.

Are your visits wheelchair accessible?

Our tours and experiences typically involve walking across grassy fields and often muddy and even terrain. Unfortunately, this means they are not accessible for wheelchair users or those unsteady on their feet. However, if you would like to arrange an accessible tour or experience, please email us at visit@goodheart.org.uk.

About our sanctuary

Our 92-acre sanctuary is home to over 300 rescued farm animals, including pigs, cows, sheep, chickens, goats – and even alpacas! As a charity, our mission goes beyond just providing care to animals in need; we’re passionate about raising awareness of the cruelty and suffering that animals face in the farming industry. Through our Open Days, Sanctuary Tours, and Pig Experiences, we invite you to connect with these wonderful creatures on a personal level, and see them for who they truly are – unique, sentient beings with their own personalities and stories.
