Goodheart Farm Animal Sanctuary is elated to announce that we have been named the “Farm Animal Rescue Centre of the Year 2024 – UK” by Acquisition International Magazine in their 2024 Non-Profit Organisation Awards.
This prestigious recognition is a testament to our unwavering commitment to rescuing farm animals and providing them with a safe and loving environment. It also highlights our ongoing efforts to educate the public about animal welfare and the problems that farmed animals face.
Acquisition International is a monthly business magazine, bringing news and insights from across the corporate world. In 2020, it launched its Non-Profit Organisation Awards, aimed at celebrating those in the Non-Profit sector who dedicate their lives to benefiting the lives of others. Organisations who qualify for an award on this programme demonstrate an evident and significant positive impact in the field of their chosen cause.

Goodheart Farm Animal Sanctuary was established with the goal of creating a haven for neglected and mistreated farm animals. Our sanctuary is a place where animals receive not just shelter, but also medical care, enrichment, and the compassion they deserve. Through our Visitor Programme, we aim to foster a deeper understanding of animal welfare issues and promote more humane treatment of all creatures.
This is the second time that Goodheart Farm Animal Sanctuary has won in the Acquisition International Non-Profit Organisation Awards. In 2023, we won “Most Dedicated UK Animal Rescue & Farm Education Charity”.
Our Co-Founder David Walker said of the award: “This recognition underscores our position as an award-winning animal charity dedicated to excellence in animal rescue and welfare. It is thanks to the hard work and passion of our team, volunteers, and supporters who work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of farm animals.”
