We’ve recently welcomed some new residents to our Goodheart Home for Rescued Hens, but to officially settle them into sanctuary life, they’re in need of names.
Now you can be part of the Goodheart story and name a rescued hen in exchange for a donation to cover their care. A one-off donation is required to name your hen but if you are able to support further then you can set up a recurring donation which will go towards their ongoing lifetime care. We’ll then send you a special naming certificate via email to say thank you for your generosity.

Following a rehoming day hosted by the British Hen Welfare Trust (BHWT), there were two hens still in need of forever homes.
This lovely girl and her friend were rescued by the BHWT from an intensive egg-laying facility, where she’s spent all of her life inside a cramped cage.
Along with her friend, this sweet girl was also rescued from an intensive egg-laying facility. Until now, she’s never known a warm bed or the feel of grass beneath her feet.
Want to meet our friendly flock of hens and hear their inspiring rescue stories? Book on to one of our popular Sanctuary Tours here at Goodheart Farm Animal Sanctuary in Worcestershire. If you would like to meet your named hen, please email our Visitor & Education Manager Abby at firstname.lastname@example.org after booking your tour and we will do our very best to accommodate this.
Please note, we always respect the wishes of our residents and so cannot always guarantee meeting specific animals if they are not feeling sociable on the day.
As we are a very small team, we cannot send out updates on named hens or inform donors if they pass away.
