What is AmazonSmile?

AmazonSmile is a simple and automatic way for you to support your chosen charity every time you shop with Amazon. When you shop via AmazonSmile, you can select a chosen charity and Amazon.co.uk will donate a portion of the purchase price of your items, every time you shop.

Is AmazonSmile safe?

Yes! AmazonSmile is run by Amazon and the donation is made to your charity of choice at no extra cost to you.

When you shop with AmazonSmile, you’ll find the exact same prices, vast selection and shopping experience as amazon.co.uk, with the added bonus that AmazonSmile will donate a portion of the purchase price to your selected charity.

How do I use AmazonSmile?

AmazonSmile is available via your computer or smartphone.

How to shop with Amazon Smile on your computer:

To use AmazonSmile on your computer, simply go to www.smile.amazon.co.uk on your web browser. You can then log in using your existing Amazon log-in details. Just make sure you always shop via smile.amazon.co.uk to ensure a donation is made to Goodheart Animal Sanctuaries. If you shop simply by going to amazon.co.uk on your computer, a donation won’t be made.

How to shop with AmazonSmile on your phone:

Open the Amazon app on your phone.
From the home screen, select the icon with the 3 horizontal bars in the bottom right hand corner.
Scroll down and select ‘Settings’.
Scroll down and select ‘AmazonSmile’.
Select ‘Turn on AmazonSmile’.
Walk through the steps of set-up, making sure notifications are enabled. You can then select your chosen charity.

From the Welcome screen, you can select different options such as ‘See your impact’ and ‘Change your charity’.

How much of my purchase does Amazon donate?

0.5% of the net purchase price (excluding VAT, returns and shipping fees) of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases will be donated to Goodheart Animal Sanctuaries.

The purchase price is the amount paid for the item minus any rebates and excluding shipping & handling, gift-wrapping fees, VAT, and service charges, and less any rebates, returns, and bad debt.
