We’re looking to recruit a team of friendly and reliable volunteers to help out at our Summer Open Weekend event on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st July at Goodheart Farm Animal Sanctuary near Kidderminster. Click here for full details on our location.
We’re looking for volunteers to help us in the following areas:
- Parking – directing cars in our field
- Stewards – manning key areas of our site and ensuring members of the public stay within our boundary and directing visitors to different areas
- General – you might be asked to help out in one of our animal areas, assist staff on our stalls by replenishing stock or helping out on our refreshment stand.
In order to volunteer with us, we ask that you:
- Commit to a full day volunteering (6 hours approx.). Either the Saturday or Sunday is fine, but both days would be greatly appreciated!
- If you sign up to volunteer but then can no longer attend, please let us know as soon as possible, by emailing info@goodheart.org.uk
Don’t worry if you’ve never done any volunteering before! A week or so prior to the event, we’ll invite you to the sanctuary to run through all of the details to make sure you’re all clued up! The date of this will be confirmed shortly.
In return, we offer all volunteers:
- FREE entry to our Open Event on the days you volunteer (normally £5 per person per day). There will be lots to see and do including meeting our friendly residents – see details of the event here.
- That warm fuzzy feeling that comes with helping an animal sanctuary by being a fabulous volunteer!
- We’ll also provide you with a snazzy high vis volunteer vest to wear and treat you to a tea, coffee, or cold drink from our refreshment stall before or after your shift.
