Goodheart is looking for a volunteer to join our small team to provide across the board admin support for the charity.
The role will be based at our Sanctuary Head Office at The Nickless near Milson (DY14 0BE) and also from home – whichever is easiest for you. Tasks will include preparing and mailing out adoption and membership packs through to data entry together with managing our stockroom; making sure we have ready supplies of stationery through to merchandise. Training will be provided and expenses covered; and there will always be the opportunity to get involved with our events and also to provide care for our lovely rescued animals.
Goodheart has a small team of people who work to care for our 371 rescued animals and raise awareness about the plight of farmed animals. We have not furloughed any staff or been able to access any government funding during this pandemic. Our animal carers have their hands full looking after all our residents; our Education Manager is preparing on-line materials, adapting our visitor experience and fundraising for our Education Programme and we’ve just recruited a Fundraising Manager who has quite a ‘to do’ list and has had to hit the ground running. If you can help us by providing approximately 8 hours a week (at your convenience) to cover our various administrative tasks, that will represent a huge help to us all and to the charity.
